Jennifer McKinney, IBCLC
Hi, I am Jennifer McKinney. I am a Woman’s Health Nurse Practitioner as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

My journey began in 2003 when I started working for the State of Florida Health Department as an RN in a Healthy Start program. I did home visits for high-risk groups of expecting moms and infants through one year. I enjoyed educating and empowering moms at risk about themselves and their babies.
After a few years, I wanted to get more hospital-related skills and began working in labor and delivery. In 2006 my husband and I relocated to Atlanta, where I started working at Northside Hospital on the Postpartum floor (Mother-Baby). After giving birth to my first baby, I fell in love with breastfeeding. I truly felt a calling for work with moms and babies, so I pursued my training and certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
In 2015 I graduated from Georgia State University and became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I am lucky to be living my dream job! I get to care for women across their lifespan and also continue to provide lactation consulting. It combines my two passions! I am here to help teach, guide and support new moms through the journey of breastfeeding their baby.
